structure of the kidney
The frontal section of the renal parenchyma shows the relationship between the cortex, medulla, and renal papilla with the renal calyx.
The small calyces, large calyces, and renal pelvis in the renal sinus. (3) The distribution characteristics of the anterior and posterior branches of the renal artery in the renal parenchyma.
(3.1) Thedistribution of apical arteries is hatshaped, occupying the inner part of the upper end of the kidney and the inner upper part of the anterior and posterior parts of the kidney. The apical artery originates from the anterior branch of the renal artery and divides into three tertiary branches: anterior, posterior, and internal.
(3.2) Theupper segment artery is distributed in the anterior part of the kidney, the lateral part of the upper end of the kidney, and a part of the middle part of the kidney.
(3.3) Themiddle segment artery is distributed in the lower middle part of the kidney, between the upper and lower segments.
(3.4) The lower segment artery mostly originates from the anterior branch and is divided into three tertiary branches: upper, lower, and posterior, which are distributed in the lower part of the anterior and posterior parts of the kidney.
(3.5) Theposterior segment artery is located behind the kidney, between the apical and lower segments.
The renal vein is slightly thicker than the renal artery, blue, and branches are not required.
